Welcome to the home page of the Wisconsin Alliance of Cemeteries, an association comprised of Municipal, Private and Religious Cemeteries in Wisconsin. Select suppliers of equipment and services also serve as members.
Designed primarily as a tool for our WAC members, this web site is intended to:
- Be a source of information on laws applicable to cemetery management including current and recent legislation
- Provide information on recommended suppliers, technology and equipment
- Promote meetings, seminars, and membership
- Act as a gateway for networking among members, providing a method of contacting other WI cemetery staff and trustees in order to ask questions and share information.
About WAC
WAC was founded in 1928 as the Wisconsin Cemetery Association. The organization has had a number of names throughout the years. Most recently our name changed from the Wisconsin Cemetery and Cremation Association to Wisconsin Alliance of Cemeteries in 2021.
The purpose of the Wisconsin Alliance of Cemeteries includes the developing and advocating for cemeteries in the State of Wisconsin; providing educational opportunities and networking conferences concerning those operations; encouraging communication between members in order that there may be an exchange of ideas in management and improvement in the administration of cemeteries.
We will help you to gain a better understanding of Wisconsin laws pertaining to cemeteries and actively promote and support legislation which will advance the interests and elevate the character of Wisconsin cemeteries and incorporate the values, traditions and heritage of Wisconsin while fostering innovation and change in order to better assist the families we serve.
